Gabriel Gascon began acting his career the Companions of Saint-Laurent which was started by Father Émile Legault. In 1951, he participated in the very first show of the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde, which was founded by his brother Jean. In 1965 he moved to France where he lived and worked until early 1980 when he returned to Québec.
