François Papineau graduated from the National Theatre School in Montréal in 1990 and began his career on stage that year in Al Malja, a play by Wajdi Mouawad. At last count he had some 33 roles to his theatrical credits including the 2010 Théatre Omnibus production of L’Amour à trois and the 2011 Théatre du Nouveau Monde production of la Belle et la bête. He has played the role of Normand Despins on Unité 9 since 2012.
