FerneDowney has spent more than 30 years working as an actor in radio, television, film and theatre. The National President of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) since 2009, she is also a member of the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association. In October of 2012 she was named the President of FIA, the International Federation of Actors, following the organization`s 20th World Congress in Toronto.
