Elisha Ann Cuthbert may have been born in Alberta, but she grew up in Longueuil, Québec, near Montréal and is fluent in French. Like many young actors before her, she began her career as a model, getting her first taste of life in front of the camera when she was signed up to promote a line of children swear at the age of seven. Her first TV appearance came in 1996 when she landed a recurring role in the children’s series Are You Afraid Of The Dark? Her big break came, however, when she was invited to host the ground-breaking Popular Mechanics For Kids, a documentary-style show aimed at showing children how things work. Elisha Cuthbert is probably best known for her role as Kim Bauer, daughter of Kiefer Sutherland’s character Jack Bauer on the series 24. She plays Abby in the series The Ranch and stars as Janet Berry-Straw in the 2020 feature Eat Wheaties!
The 2022 film, Bandit, was directed by fellow Canadian, Allan Ungar.
