Dino Tavarone moved to Québec when he was 17-years-old. The film Mon ami Dino is a fictional documentary. It’s a portrait of Tavarone which appears to be a straightforward work of non-fiction — until you begin to wonder what’s real and what’s not. For example, most of the people in the film are real, Tavarone’s agent for example, but his daughter is played by actress Sasha Migliarese. Mon Ami Dino is directed by Jimmy Larouche, known for directing two hard-hitting dramas, La cicatrice in 2011 and Antoine et Marie in 2015.
