Deidre Gillard-Rowlings

Deidre Gillard-Rowlings is a stage actor who has made only rare appearances outside the theatre. A few of her stage credits include Safe Ashore which is about a modern day Newfoundland family that operates a bed and breakfast business on Newfoundland’s Northern Peninsula, and Tempting Providence in which she played the lead role of Myra Bennett, a British nurse who emigrated to Newfoundland in 1921 and became known as the Florence Nightingale of the North. In her list of film and television credits below, there are three Shakespeare plays, which were produced on the stages of the Stratford Festival in Ontario. Deidre Gillard-Rowlings was honoured with the Rhonda Payne Theatre Award in 2020.
