Damon Runyan is an actor and director. He discovered acting at an early age but pursued a career in the financial sector, working as a Futures Trader in the ’90s. However, his love for acting would prevail and he returned to the craft in 2001, studying at The Second City. Runyan then moved to Vancouver to work with Michele Lonsdale Smith at the Lyric School of Acting along with the great Larry Moss. He won both the “Best Actor Award” and the “Audience Choice Award” in the 2013 National Film Challenge for his short film Cassidy. His first feature film as a director was When the Shooting Stops, released in 2015. In March of 2015 he appeared in the play Bull, produced by Toronto’s Coal Mine Theatre, which was co-founded by Ted Dykstra.
