Colin Ferguson spent much of his childhood growing up in Hong Kong, England, Connecticut and Toronto. He also worked at a lot of different jobs before discovering his ability to entertain. For example, he worked on an assembly line at a light-bulb factory, taught high school at the age of 19 before performing improv comedy to make money while he attended McGill University in Montréal. A year later, he co-founded On The Spot, an improv comedy troupe, and with them, he made over 10 appearances at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. They went on to win the International Improv Festival, consistently besting teams from New York, London, New Zealand and Chicago. Based on his experience in ensemble comedy, Colin was selected from a pool of more than 2,000 applicants to become a founding member of the Detroit satellite of the renowned Second City ensemble. Colin Ferguson starred as Sheriff Jack Carter in the series, Eureka.
