Caroline Dhavernas

Caroline Dhavernas began her career at the age of 8, dubbing voices for television productions such as Babar. She began her acting career in 1990 when, at age 12, she was cast to appear in the feature Comme un Voleur. She trained for 2 months with the Pointe-Claire Swim Club to convincingly portray Marilyn Bell in the 1999 made-for-TV movie, Heart: The Marilyn Bell Story. Bell was the first person to cross 32-mile Lake Ontario in 1954. The much anticipated series, Wonderfalls, lasted only four episodes before FOX pulled the show from its schedule. All of the original episodes were subsequently released on DVD. Dhavernas was nominated for a Genie for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for the 2005 film, Niagara Motel. She was also nominated for a Genie for Best Achievement in Music – Original Song for La belle bête, a nomination she shared with singer-composer Patrick Watson for the song Trace-Moi. She is pictured attending the 2023 Canadian Screen Awards in Toronto.
