Carly Street is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada and is primarily a stage actor with some television and film credits. She has received three Best Actress nominations for her stage roles in Into the Woods, the world premiere production of The Lord of the Rings, and Theatre 20’s Bloodless: The Trial of Burke and Hare. In Toronto she has appeared on stage for The Canadian Stage Company, The Factory Theatre, Tarragon Theatre, Shakespeare-in-the-Rough, Buddies in Bad Times, and Mirvish Productions. Outside of Toronto, her stage credits include productions with Theatre Calgary, The Grand Theatre in London, The Thousand Islands Playhouse, The Atlantic Theatre Festival, Resurgence Theatre Company, Drayton Entertainment, The Segal Centre for the Arts and The Stratford Shakespeare Festival. Her work in the United States includes the Tony-nominated Brief Encounter, the world premiere of Theresa Rebecks’s Dead Accounts at the Cincinnati Playhouse-In-the-Park, The Tony-winning Clybourne Park, and Geva Theatre’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She also starred in Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s Tovarich. She contributes a simply brilliant performance in Venus in Fur for Toronto`s Canadian Stage production at the Bluma Appel Theatre until October 27th, 2013.
