Born in Sudbury, Brigitte Kingsley’s family moved to Whitby, Ontario when she was 10. She began acting at the age of 14 in television commercials. Following high school, KIngsley studied theatre and psychology at York University and graduated with Honours and a BFA degree in Theatre Studies. She plays Summer Vale in the Dark Rising movies and in the subsequent television series. In January of 2008, Brigitte Kingsley became president of Black Walk, a production company that is best known for its comedic features including the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival Favourite and Independent Spirit Award Winner Phil the Alien, as well as the 2004 comedy Ham & Cheese.
