Bill Wood is an award-winning comedian, actor and magician. As a young child he moved across Canada each time his father was posted someplace new by the Canadian Navy. When he was old enough to make his own decision he chose Halifax as his hometown. He was part of Picnicface, a sketch comedy troupe. They worked in many mediums, wrote a book, made a movie, and a TV show. On the series Mr. D, he played Guidance Counsellor Frank, who uses crutches to walk, but he didn’t allow his disability to hold him back. In addition to his work in front of the cameras he is also a regular contributor to CBC Radio.
