Beryl Braithwaite was a young actress when she met a married the US actor John Hart when he was in Canada shooting episodes of the 1950s series Last of the Mohicans. It has been widely reported that they married only 10 days after meeting. He was 39 and she was 20. They remained married until the death of John Hart on September 20, 2009 and had one daughter, Robyn Hart.
