Avi Phillips played Franz Kafka in a special black and white silent film that was used as part of the 2001 multimedia production Kafka in Love. He also directed and played one of the parts in the 2007 Toronto Fringe Festival production of Eleanor. Phillips might be best known for his role as a young actor when he played Ike Edison in the TV series, Maniac Mansion, which featured Joe Flaherty, Deborah Theaker and Kathleen Robertson.
