Arch McDonnell

Arch McDonnell was an actor, singer, teacher and wonderful storyteller. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he excelled in all that he did and he did many things. He sang with bands in the 40s and knew practically every word to every verse and chorus of the old standards. His remarkable work as a radio actor and narrator led him to a successful career with CBC in Toronto, including a stint on the radio version of Search for Tomorrow. Later in his career, he shared his talents and knowledge as a teacher at George Brown College. He and his wife, Celia Sutton, shared a home in Rosedale and also took great pleasure in entertaining friends and fellow actors at their “Eden Lodge” in Port Carling, Ontario.
