Arshile Egoyan is the son of Atom Egoyan and Arsinée Khanjian. His second short film, Before They Joined Us, which screened at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, was based on the true story about his mother’s journey immigrating to Canada from war-torn Lebanon in the 1970s.
