Jason Buxton studied film production at Simon Fraser University and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. His debut feature, Blackbird, screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and was given the Best Canadian Feature Film Award at the 2012 Vancouver International Film Festival. In late January 2013 it was announced that Buxton would be given the highly prestigious Claude Jutra Award, which is given to first time feature film directors. His 2024 feature, Sharp Corner, had its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. We list his credits as a Director first.
