Richie Mehta is a director, writer and editor. He is based out of Poor Man Productions in his hometown of Mississauga, Ontario. He is not related to Deepa Mehta. In July of 2013 it was announced that his film Siddharth had been selected to screen in the Venice Days section of the Venice International Film Festival. Created in 2004, Venice Days draws attention to high quality cinema that demonstrates innovation, research, originality and independence. He is pictured at the 2014 Canadian Screen Awards in Toronto.
