Stephan James & Marisa Tomei in Delia’s Gone

(October 13, 2020 – Toronto,ON) Golden Globe nominee and 2017 Canadian Screen Award-winner Stephan James and Academy Award Winner Marisa Tomei will star in Canadian Screen Award-winner Robert Budreau’s latest feature film Delia’s Gone. Principal photography has begun in North Bay on the feature, which is based on the short story “Caged Bird Sing” by Michael Hamblin. Written and directed by Budreau (Born to be Blue, Stockholm), costars include Paul Walter Hauser (I, Tonya, Blackkklansman, Richard Jewell). Budreau will also produce the film along with Jonathan Bronfman (The Witch, Race, Stockholm).
Delia’s Gone is about a convicted man on the spectrum (Stephan James), who escapes his care home and embarks on a journey of violence and redemption to find the truth about his sister, Delia.
Produced by JoBro Productions, a Canadian film and television production company founded by Jonathan Bronfman in 2012, and Lumanity Productions, in association with Productivity Media, eOne and Vigilante Productions, with Moryto Pictures and Ontario Creates. The feature is being sold by Radiant Films globally (excluding Canada). EOne is overseeing distribution in Canada. Executive producers are William Santor, Andrew Chang-Sang, John Hills, Adam Moryto, Michael Hamblin, Andrew Bronfman, Jason Jallet, Mark Gingras, John Laing, Stephan James, Daniel Baur, Patrick Roy, Anne-Claire Villeneuve, Alastair Burlingham and Gary Raskin; with DeForrest Taylor as co-executive producer.
As production has just begun, no release date for Delia’s Gone has been set.
