CMF Needs Your Help

(March 26, 2020n – Toronto, ON) The Canada Media Fund (CMF) is doing its best to understand and measure the impact of the COVID-19 crisis, which has had an unprecedented impact on the Canadian screen-based sector and is causing significant and ongoing financial disruptions for the industry. They are asking people working in interactive digital media production, and people in television or film production companies to complete an online survey.
Representatives of Canada’s audiovisual industry have formed a taskforce. This group has partnered with Nordicity research group to develop a national survey that will help quantify the scope of the financial impact of the ongoing crisis.
The survey was developed to capture the impact at an organizational level. The CMF will share the results with government officials as they develop response packages for these industries. BUt they stress the need of your participation for this effort to succeed.

Only one survey should be completed per organization, regardless of size. However, if your company produces both linear and interactive digital media content, please complete both surveys. The survey should be completed by someone with a clear sense of the overall financial and operational picture of your business.
The CMF asks that you complete the survey as soon as it’s convenient and submit it by March 31.
