“Fans are the heart of a Canadian star system so it is vital they are an integral part of the Canadian Screen Awards,” said Helga Stephenson, Academy CEO. “This year, fans will have the opportunity to meet an outstanding line-up of their favourite Canadian stars at FanZone at the Toronto Eaton Centre,” she added.
Hosted by SPACE’s Teddy Wilson, FanZone will give fans the opportunity to meet and take photos with the biggest names in Canadian television. Personalities from shows on CBC, City, CTV, Global, OLN, SPACE, YTV and more will be in attendance. Please keep in mind this is strictly a photo event and autographs will not be given. Meanwhile, fans can also participate in the Academy’s #FanZone Front of the Line Contest. To enter, fans tweet a selfie photo and tag it #CdnScreenSelfie #FanZone for a chance to win VIP Access to the FanZone event and a prize pack.
