Trevor Jimenez is a Canadianborn filmmaker living in California He has worked as a storyboard artist in animation for over 10 years most notably at Pixar Henry Selicks Cinderbiter studios His student film emKey Lime Pieem 2007 screened at numerous international festivals including Annecy emWeekendsem is his first professional film and a personal labor of love he had worked on for over 10 years It is set in Toronto in the 1980s and follows the story of a young boy shuffling between the homes of his recently divorced parents mixing surreal dreamlike moments with the domestic realities of a brokenup family In 2018 it won an Annie Award for Best Animated Short Subject as well as a Special Jury Award Audience Award Short Film at the Annecy Film Festival It was nominated for Best Animated Short Film at the 2019 Academy Awards We list his credits as a Director firstbrbrbr
