Director X began life as Julien Christian Lutz and is of Trinidadian and Swiss descent. Born in Brampton west of Toronto, he went to Mayfield Secondary School and North Park Secondary School. He is known for his work in music videos. He founded his own production company Popp Rok in 2015.
