Allan Moyle

Allan Moyle is a screenwriter-director-producer and actor He made his directorial debut in 1977 with The Rubber Gun. That same year he appeared in David Cronenberg’s Rabid and had a major supporting role in Richard Benner’s Outrageous. The critics lambasted his next effort Times Square, perhaps because it was his first studio directing assignment and it turned into such an unpleasant experience that he developed a stress-related disorder that caused all his hair to fall out. Allan left the industry for ten years during which he wrote a novel and several screenplays He became a sought-after writer-director after the success of Pump Up the Volume, which was a box office hit starring Christian Slater.
