bSbcot McFadyen studied writing at the University of Victoria and worked as a music supervisor and soundtrack producer on a long list of film and television projects including iGinger Snaps Siblings Queer As Folk Picture Clairei and the cult hiti FUBARi His first feature documentary iMetal A Headbangerrsquos Journeyi premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2005 then screened at more than 40 international film festivals and was released theatrically in over 30 countries In 2007 he won a Gemini Award for best writing in a documentary and was nominated for best direction for his work on that film In 2010 emRUSH Beyond the Lighted Stageem won the 25000 Heineken Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festivalbrbrbr
