Louise Bourque

French Canadian filmmaker Louise Bourque lives and works in Edmundston New Brunswick after having lived and taught cinema in the Boston area After receiving a BA in communications in 1986 she studied film production at Concordia University in Montreal BFA 1990 and at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago MFA 1992 Her films have been presented in forty countries in five continents Screenings at international festivals include Sundance Rotterdam Toronto Tribeca San Francisco Kerala Sao Paolo Hong Kong Melbourne and London US broadcasts include PBS and the Sundance Channel Bourques work was presented at the 50th Robert Flaherty Film Seminar and as part of the 2006 Whitney Biennial She has also been featured in solo exhibitions at Mount Saint Vincent University Halifax Millennium Film Workshop New York Cinematheque Ontario Toronto and Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center BuffalobrbrRead more about a hrefhttpwwwnorthernstarscabourquelouisearticleLouise Bourqueabrbrbr
