Louis Bélanger

Louis Blanger co-directed three short films with Denis Chouinard. The first, Dogmatisme ou le songe d’Adrien in 1987, won a special mention at Monbliard and a prize at the Festival international du jeune cinéma de Montréal. It was followed by Le Soleil et ses traces (1990) and Les 14 définitions de la pluie (1992). He then co-wrote 15 rue des Bains and Mondialito with writer-director Nicolas Wadimoff. In 2000 he co-directed with Isabelle Hébert Lauzon Lauzone, a documentary on the life of Québec filmmaker Jean-Claude Lauzon. His film Gaz Bar Blues,  which started out titled Le Début de la fin, won the Prix de la presse at the Festival de Paris in 2004. His 2010 film Route 132 was selected to open the 2010 Montréal World Film Festival.
