Sylvia Stewart got her start doing stunts on TV series like, Soldier of Fortune, and Inc. Even after her career as an actor started, she continued to do stunt work, appearing in films like The Day After Tomorrow and Mother!. She finds it easy to do physical stunts because of her background as a gymnast. Stewart began working behind the camera as a Director in 2014 and in 2024 her short Do You Know Him was a Semifinalist at the Sweden Film Awards, a Finalist at the One-Reeler Short Film Competition (Los Angeles) where it was given a Special Mention by the judges and was an Official Selection at the SCA awards (Los Angeles).
