A mixed Anishinaabe director, actress, and producer, April Mullen studied at the prestigious Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto where she received a B.F.A. with Honours. She moved to the United Kingdom to train at the Royal Welsh College of Drama. She was nominated for Best Actress by the Young Artist Awards for her work in the made-for-TV movie, Cavedweller. She co-founded Wango Films in 2005, producing and directing the company’s first two feature films, Rock, Paper, Scissors: The Way of the Tosser and GravyTrain. Both films were theatrically released in Canada. Her 2020 feature Wander, was written by Tim Doiron and costars Aaron Eckhart and Tommy Lee Jones. We list her credits as a Director first.
