Bruce Greenwood

Bruce Greenwood spent the first years of his life in Noranda, Québec before moving to Princeton, New Jersey, then Washington D.C. and finally back to Canada and Vancouver, British Columbia when he was just eleven years old. He went to the University of British Columbia and later to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. After graduating, he landed bit roles in his first two feature films then a key role in the made-for-TV movie, Peyton Place: The Next Generation. His first big break came as Dr. Seth Griffin on the series St. Elsewhere where his character contracted AIDS from a hypodermic needle. Bruce Greenwood was honoured with the ACTRA Award of Excellence in January of 2011.
