Gale Garnett

Gale Zoë Garnett is a singer-songwriter-actor-writer. She moved to Canada at the age of 11. Usually remembered for her folk song “We’ll Sing In The Sunshine” she has guest starred on a variety of television programs including The Real McCoys in 1957, The Littlest Hobo in 1979, Friday the 13th in 1987, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues in 1992 and many others. On stage she appeared in the North American premiere of “Educating Rita”, as well as her highly successful one-person shows, “Gale Garnett & Company” and “Life After Latex”. She made her Broadway debut in February 1974 appearing in Ulysses in Nighttown. As a writer, she has written hundreds of essays, columns and book reviews for newspapers including the Globe and Mail, Village Voice and Toronto Life magazine. Her first novel was titled Visible Amazement.
