Richard Easton

Richard Easton was primarily a stage actor known for his Shakespearean work. He performed in most the plays including 11 different productions of Hamlet. He also appeared in an episode of the cult TV hit series, Doctor Who, as well as in an episode of the sitcom, Frasier. He played the title role in the TV mini-series, Benjamin Franklin for which Colm Feore provided the narration. His career on Broadway began in 1957 with The Country Wife. Fifty years later, in February of 2007 he began appearing in the third part of the original play, The Coast of Utopia at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at New York’s Lincoln Center. The play is divided into 3 separate individual plays and Easton had played a different role in each. Richard Easton was 86 when he died in New York City.
