Nominees Announced

(January 13, 2015 – Toronto, ON) The movers and shakers of the Canadian film and TV biz gathered, despite freezing temperatures, at the TIFF Bell Lightbox this morning to learn who and what would be in the running for a 2015 Canadian Screen Award. Meanwhile, the same thing was happening in Montreal where it was just as cold. The CSAs are the creation of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television and proceedings kicked off when CEO, Helga Stephenson took the stage to get things rolling. She surprised the almost packed theatre when she introduced this year`s host for the CSAs Broadcast Gala, Andrea Martin. Things began to get a little more serious when actors Cara Gee and Jared Keeso (pictured above) took over and began announcing the nominees on a very long list of 128 Awards.
