Born and raised in Toronto, Lisa Marcos is of Portuguese descent. She began modelling when she was just 12 years old. Later she took an acting course, then knocked on the door of a talent agency and talked her way into an audition, eventually reading three scripts. The agency took her on, even though she only had one commercial to her credit. Her acting career began in 2002 with a guest role on Soul Food.
