Brent Carver

Brent Carver, pictured above on the right in a still from the 2003 movie The Event, is probably best known for his Tony Award winning performance as Molina in the hit stage production, Kiss of the Spider Woman he is equally known on television or in film for his remarkable versatility. Critically acclaimed for his role as the Countess in the feature film Lilies, and for his title role in Whiskers, which earned him an Emmy nomination, Brent Carver has had major roles in Richard III, Cyrano de Bergerac, Tartuffe, Jacques Brel, Cabaret, Much Ado About Nothing, and Mother Courage. For his work in 1996's High Life, he was given a coveted Dora Mavor Moore Award for Best Actor. In 2011 he played the role of Pontius Pilot in the Stratford Shakespeare Festival's production of Jesus Christ Superstar to great acclaim. He is currently playing the role of Friar Laurence in Romeo and Juliet at the Richard Rogers Theatre in New York.
